SunMaster Produce Inc. (“SunMaster”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

Information you send us. This website has no sign-up or contact forms. If you email us — for example, to apply for a job or ask a question — we receive your name, email address, and anything you choose to include, such as your résumé, work history, and phone number.

Technical information. When you visit, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical details such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the time of your visit. We use this only to run the website and keep it secure.

We don't use analytics or advertising trackers, and we never sell personal information.

Cookies

We don't set cookies for visitors browsing this website. One cookie is used only when SunMaster staff sign in to manage job postings; it keeps them signed in and expires when they close their browser.

Third-party services

Some parts of this website are provided by Google:

• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on every page.
• Google Maps shows our location on the Contact page.

When your browser loads these, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. Google's use of that information is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

How we use your information

• To consider you for jobs at SunMaster and contact you about your application.
• To answer your questions.
• To run, maintain, and secure this website.
• To meet our legal obligations.

We won't use your information for any other purpose without your consent.

Who we share it with

Only SunMaster staff who need your information can see it. We use trusted service providers to host this website and our email, and they handle information on our behalf only as needed to provide those services. Some of these providers may store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law. We'll also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

If you apply for a job, we keep your application for up to 3 months so we can consider you for future openings, then securely delete it. If you're hired, it becomes part of your employee file. You can ask us to delete your application sooner at any time. We keep other emails only as long as we need to respond, and our hosting provider keeps technical logs for a short time.

How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to this website and limiting access to staff who need it. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so please don't email us sensitive details such as your Social Insurance Number or banking information — we'll only ask for those if you're hired.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent and ask us to delete it, subject to any legal requirements. To make a request, contact our Privacy Officer using the details below. We'll respond within 30 days.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
